While visiting LA I had the chance to see the Dolly Parton exhibit at the Grammy Museum. She has graciously lent many of her iconic costumes to the museum and I am so happy I got to see them.
Growing up I admittedly was not a big fan of Dolly Parton, however my mom was. As I've grown older not only have I become a fan of Ms. Parton's costumes, but her music and persona, as well. Visiting her exhibition made me feel closer to my mom, too, as she passed more than twenty years ago.
Photography was allowed, but the glass cases everything was in made pictures difficult. Enjoy tho and don't mind the reflections. ;)
Last week I took a quick trip to Los Angeles and I took in FIDM's (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising) exhibit showcasing the costumes from many of 2018's movies. The exhibit is free (just $5 for parking) and I highly recommend you check it out if you can, but hurry as it's only around until April 12. All of the Academy Award nominated films for Costume Design were featured, as well as many other fan favorites. Throughout the exhibit were many video screens featuring behind the scenes of the costume designs, too. The best part is that photography is allowed.
